Support can be anything you have in mind. Not necessarily financial support (although some of you have contributed to offset travel and archive admission fees, for which we're very grateful). But there are plenty of other ways you can help us out.
Do you have a box of old family photos in your closet? Some curious documents in a folder? Not sure what these are or how they might fit in to family history? Take a look next time you have a free moment -- you might find a letter like this one!
Not every key to the past is on paper. What about family heirlooms like silverware or dishes? Here's what monograms and backstamps revealed about one family. If you have something of interest, send us digital pictures or photocopies of whatever you discover. We can take a look and see whether we can identify people, places, or dates.
Do you have a new addition to the family, a marriage, a bar mitzvah? Let us know so we can change our family history databases to reflect the most up-to-date information. Do you have an old story to tell, or remember one that was told to you? Send us an email and tell us about it. Not all family stories are fanciful. Sometimes they corroborate (or correct) what we know from available documents.
